Doxycycline is more effective than tetracycline against severe acne?
Doxycycline 100 mg I use for my acne for about 1 month but now that seem to work well for me at all. However, I do alil research online and found that tetracycline could help my acne because their Stroger such as doxycycline, is this the case?
Probably will not make much difference … no. Tetracycline and doxycycline antibiotics are very similar, therefore unlikely to benefit the other, although they have a synthetic component of doxycycline that can help. They are both in the same spectrum, such as harmful bacteria which are often the cause of acne. You might consider switching to a completely different antibiotic (eg Amoxil) or by adding a topical agent to help (or clindamycin As Differin Gel). Talk to your doctor about this. Good luck!
